Recently, there has been hardware an increasingly important selling point when producers should make us choose just their model in the top segment of the market. In a market where many manufacturers have the same operating system and partly in the hands of Google when it comes to upgrade the system, it is not surprising that people focus on what they can control over himself, namely screens, processors and memory.
But how big is the difference really between the different models. Mobile asked four powerful Android mobiles against each other in the test lab. In some cases the differences were obvious, in other cases were settled there more on margin. How much importance we attach to the performance as a telephone exhibit "on paper" we leave it to readers to judge. To designate a single winner based on test results proved to be impossible, therefore, we also entrust to you to decide what type of performance that are to be valued highly.
Your Web Browser
How fast the browser is determined largely by how well the phone is to handle JavaScript. Sunspider test a variety of script repeatedly and presents a final result in the form of the total time. Here stand the dual-core LS: n like clear winner when we compare averages for all Sunspider runs as we did. As a comparison, a typical laptop with Chrome needed 214 milliseconds to do the same.
Graphics
Graphics performance we tested with Nenamark1. It uses OpenGL ES 2.0 standard and uses various types of graphical elements in order to examine how many frames per second (fps) that the phone can handle when it is pressed. Here we see again that LG 2 x stands out, albeit not as prominently as the browser test.
Calculations
In order to put additional tested used the phones we appen Linpack for Android. It allows the phone to solve the equations and makes a conclusion in the form of a number indicating how many million calculations of a given type that are made during a second (MFLOP/S). A higher number is better. With the exception of Nexus's characteristic negative is the small difference in the results.
